The client for this recent commission made a great choice in their paint. They wanted two subtle colours: Gauze Mid for the main body of the dresser and Grey Stone for the interior of the upper section (both by the Little Greene Paint Co.). The handles are solid brass, finished in polished nickel, and the worktop is solid oak.
This dresser is less deep (front to back) than some of our other dressers in order to fit the client’s space well. Also, the shelves in the upper section are very long, unbroken by any vertical dividers. This meant we had to make the shelves in a different way, and for strength reasons they can’t be adjusted in height. It’s something we were happy to do though, and it’s worked very well, giving the finished dresser a beautifully clean, elegant look.
